Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: 14 August 2026
The short version
Aircon Adviser is free to read. To fund the site, some of the links to retailers on our pages are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy, the retailer pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it never changes what we recommend, how we rate a product, or the order anything appears in.
How affiliate links work
When you click an affiliate link you are taken to the retailer's website in the normal way. The affiliate network or retailer may set a cookie on your device so that, if you buy, the sale can be attributed to us and we are paid a small percentage of what you spend. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had gone to the retailer directly. Those cookies are set by the third party, not by us, and our privacy policy explains this in more detail.
Who we work with
We take part in affiliate programmes run by UK retailers and affiliate networks. Aircon Adviser is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. As we join further programmes we will keep this page up to date.
How to spot an affiliate link
Every page that carries affiliate links also carries a clear note, normally worded "We may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page". You will see it on our product reviews and category pages. Affiliate links are also tagged as sponsored in the page code, so search engines treat them correctly.
Our advice comes first
Commission never decides our content. We choose which products to review, and what to recommend, on the product's merits, before any money is involved. Retailers and manufacturers cannot pay for a better rating, a higher place in a list, or a kinder verdict, and we do not accept payment for positive coverage. If a product is not good enough, we say so, whether or not there is a commission behind it.
Installer enquiries and the directory
Our installer directory is free for homeowners to use, and a business does not pay to be included in it. We may receive a fee from an installer for a featured placement or when we pass on an enquiry. Where a listing is promoted or featured it will be clearly labelled, and paying us never changes an installer's position in normal search results or the advice in our guides.
Advertising and sponsored content
We do not currently run display advertising or sponsored posts. If that changes, any advert or sponsored content will be clearly labelled as such, and this page will be updated.
