Information for listed businesses
Aircon Adviser runs an independent directory of UK air conditioning installers. This page explains what information we hold about listed businesses, where it came from, why we hold it, and how to claim, correct or remove your listing.
Where our listing information comes from
We compiled our directory from publicly available sources, including public business listings and directories. For each business this can include the business name, address, phone number, email address, website, opening hours, the areas it covers, and publicly displayed ratings and review counts.
Where this information identifies an individual, for example a sole trader trading under their own name, or a personal email or mobile number, it is personal data and this notice applies to it.
Why we hold it and our lawful basis
We hold this information to run our directory and to help homeowners find and contact suitable installers. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests, and the legitimate interests of installers and homeowners, in operating a directory that connects customers with local installers. You can object to this at any time, and you can ask us to remove your listing, as set out below.
How enquiries reach you
When a homeowner sends an enquiry from your listing, we pass that enquiry to you so you can contact them. We do not withhold enquiries that a homeowner has directed to your business. If we cannot reach you because we do not hold valid contact details, we will tell the homeowner we could not guarantee delivery and help them find another installer, rather than quietly keeping the enquiry.
Claim your listing
Claiming your listing lets you manage it, correct your details, add photos and services, and control how you receive enquiries. Claiming is free. Claim your listing.
Correct or update your details
If any information on your listing is wrong or out of date, claim your listing to edit it, or contact us and we will correct it.
Remove your listing
If you would prefer not to appear in our directory, you can ask us to remove your listing and we will do so. Once removed, we will keep a minimal record of your request so that we do not add your business back from a future data update. To request removal, contact us using the details below and tell us the business name and the page address.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Our full privacy policy explains these rights.
