Agreement to these terms
These terms apply to your use of Aircon Adviser (airconadviser.co.uk), operated by Saint Associates Ltd, Front Suite, 1st Floor, Charles House, 148-149 Great Charles Street, Birmingham, B3 3HT. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
What this site is for
Aircon Adviser provides general information about air conditioning for UK homes, and an independent directory of air conditioning installers. It is not professional, financial or safety advice. Every home is different, so always get a professional survey and quotes before buying or installing air conditioning.
Regulations that affect air conditioning, including planning rules and F-Gas requirements, change over time. We work hard to keep our guides accurate, but we cannot guarantee that everything on the site is accurate, complete or up to date at the moment you read it.
The installer directory
Aircon Adviser is an independent directory. We are not an air conditioning installer, and we do not carry out surveys, installations, servicing or repairs. A business appearing in our directory does not mean we endorse it, guarantee its work, or that it is partnered with or connected to us, unless we clearly say so.
When you contact an installer through the site, or we pass your enquiry to one, any resulting survey, quote, contract and work is strictly between you and that installer. We are not a party to it. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, timing or price of any installer's work, and we are not responsible for anything an installer does or fails to do. Always carry out your own checks, confirm an installer's certifications and insurance, and get your own written quote before agreeing to any work.
Enquiries
When you send an enquiry through the site, we pass it on as described in our privacy policy. We cannot guarantee that an installer will respond, or respond within any particular time. Enquiring through the site does not create any contract between you and Aircon Adviser.
Reviews and ratings
Where we show ratings, we make clear whether they are our own editorial view, ratings collected on our site, or ratings sourced from a third party such as Google. Ratings and reviews are provided for general guidance and should not be your only reason for choosing an installer.
Affiliate links and independence
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we earn a commission if you buy through them at no extra cost to you. This does not affect which products we recommend or the order we recommend them in. Prices, specifications and availability shown on the site can change without notice, so always verify the details with the retailer before you buy.
Our intellectual property
The content on this site, including guides, text and images we have created, belongs to us. You are welcome to use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not scrape, copy or republish our content without our written permission.
Business names, logos and trademarks
Business names, brand names, product names and logos shown on the site belong to their respective owners. We use them to identify and describe businesses and products, and their use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those owners. Product images are only displayed with the relevant owner's permission. For listed businesses
If your business is listed in our directory, you can claim your listing to manage it, ask us to correct information that is wrong, or ask us to remove your listing entirely. Takedown, corrections and complaints
If you want a listing, name, logo or image removed or corrected, or you have a complaint about anything on the site, contact us through our contact form or at [email protected]. Tell us the specific page or listing and what the problem is. We will acknowledge your request and aim to resolve it within 10 working days.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the site. In particular, you must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious code, submit false or fraudulent enquiries, scrape the site, or do anything that disrupts or interferes with the site or the servers it runs on.
Third-party links
The site links to third-party websites, including retailers, installers and official guidance. These sites are not under our control and a link does not mean we endorse them. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
Limitation of liability
The content on this site is provided as is, without any warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on the content of this site, or from any dealings between you and an installer or retailer you find through the site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes relating to them will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
