Samsung brings its consumer-electronics strengths to home air conditioning, and two things set it apart. The first is Wind-Free cooling: instead of blowing cold air at you, the hero units diffuse it through around 23,000 micro-holes for a still, draught-free feel that suits bedrooms and home offices. The second is smart control, where the SmartThings ecosystem, AI comfort modes and voice control go well beyond what most air conditioning specialists offer.

The Wind-Free range runs from the entry Comfort up to the Avant and Elite, in white and black finishes, with entry Luzon and Cebu models below. Units are among the quietest on the market, use lower-impact R32 refrigerant, reach A+++ efficiency on the top models, and carry a 5-year parts-and-labour warranty when you register and use an accredited, F-Gas certified installer.

The honest trade-offs: Samsung's installer network is smaller than Daikin's or Mitsubishi's, so a Samsung-experienced fitter can be harder to find in some areas, and the micro-hole panel needs a little more cleaning attention than a standard louvred grille.
