The M Series covers the range. The MSZ-LN is the designer flagship, offered in four finishes with Plasma Quad Connect air purification, a 3D i-See occupancy sensor that steers airflow around the room, and built-in Wi-Fi with the MELCloud Home app as standard. The Elegance range (MSZ-AY, with the MSZ-AP for the largest sizes) is the mainstream white unit, the Zen is a flat-panel designer option, and the Classic covers the entry point. Current units run on lower-impact R32 refrigerant, apart from the new MSZ-RZ wall split, which runs on propane (R290) and is the most efficient unit in the range, and the MSZ-LN reaches the top A+++ rating on smaller capacities.

The trade-offs are price and feature tiering: the best purification, styling and colour options sit on the pricier LN and Zen, while the length of your warranty depends on who fits it: up to 5 years through a Mitsubishi Electric Accredited Installer, 7 through a Business Solutions Partner and 10 through a Diamond Quality Partner, usually with registration and servicing conditions, otherwise 12 months.
